HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Joey Sindelar, Bobby Clampett, Russ Cochran and Peter Senior all shot 7-under 65s in the Regions Charity Classic to share the lead. Ken Green, playing in his first stroke-play event since his lower right leg was amputated after an auto accident, shot a 74.

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Se Ri Pak has shot a 6-under 66 to take a one-stroke lead over Brittany Lincicome and Wendy Ward in the Bell Micro LPGA Classic at Mobile. Pak had five birdies in a six-hole stretch on her final nine holes to top the second-round leaderboard at 9 under.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama and Nike have extended an agreement through 2018 in a deal that the university said would be worth nearly $30 million over seven years. Nike will remain the exclusive supplier of athletic footwear to Crimson Tide sports teams through June 2018.

MIAMI (AP) — Garrett Wittels has extended his nation-best hitting streak to 43 games with a first-inning RBI single for FIU against South Alabama. Wittels is now in sole possession of the fourth-longest streak in NCAA Division I history.
