Headed to the Regions Charity Classic?

Published May 12, 2010 at 1:47 a.m.
General Spectator Information for the Regions Charity Classic at Ross Bridge in Hoover, Alabama…

All of the information below can be found at the Regions Charity Classic official website at http://www.regionscharityclassic.com/spectator-info.php

When it comes to alcohol, leave it at home and don’t expect to buy it while there if you are under the legal age limit of 21.

Although autographs are permissible, asking for one during a player’s round certainly would not be a good idea.  Items that you may want autographed must be limited to one item per person.

Bicycle parking will be available near the main spectator entry.  There will be signs along Grand Avenue that designate where the bicycle parking lot is.

If you are looking for bleacher sitting, you will have to look at the #1, #9, and #18.  When it comes to bleachers, there is no reserved seating.

Anyone can bring a camera on Wednesday and Thursday but when it comes to Thursday through Sunday, only media with the proper credentials will be allowed to have their cameras on hand.

Numerous concessions will be on hand.  You may NOT bring food or drink to this tournament.  Concession tents are now able to take credit and debit cards.  This will be the first year that has been available.

As always with lots of people around comes the possibility of something happening to someone or someone becoming ill.  With that in mind, as always, first aid locations will be available.  In particular you can find the first aid stations on #9 and # 15.  St. Vincent Hospital will be staffing both doctors and nurses in the first aid stations.  As always, the event will be handicap accessible.

*Note…if you do have a medical emergency while present, you may notify a “Marshal” on any hole.

Cell phones are certainly discouraged but if necessary, they must be on silent or vibrate.

Some things are not only discouraged, but are prohibited.  For example, you may not bring bags/backpacks, umbrella covers, signs, posters, banners, TV or radios, coolers, pets, met spiked golf shoes, noisemaking devices, and of course weapons of any kinds.

As far as rain is concerned, play will continue as long as it is deemed safe, rain or shine.  Spectators will be kept informed at the earliest moment of any changes made based on any situational circumstances that although unlikely, may occur.

The following information was posted word for word from the Region Charity Classic website, specifically under the Spectator Information page.

Weather Warning and Suspension of Play
The tournament will have meteorology staff on-site monitoring the possibility of inclement weather.  If inclement weather is approaching, a “Weather Warning” notification will be posted on all electronic scoreboards throughout the course.  When this message appears, spectators are advised to take immediate precaution such as evacuating bleachers, skyboxes and hospitality tents as well as open areas, hilltops, isolated trees, golf carts and wire fences. If play is suspended, indicated by one prolonged air-horn blast, please close your umbrella and seek shelter immediately. Suspension of play means that there is a delay in play, not necessarily a cancellation.
