East meets West and past meets present in a stunning concert of Asian film music. The Alabama Symphony Orchestra brings the wonderful sounds of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, to the Magic City!
Symphony 7: The Classical Edge is the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s concert with the cool factor. The next installment in the series is Thursday, March 25 and kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and networking. Then, at 7:00 p.m., prepare to be transported to the Orient as “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” features exotic music by Asian composers including the “Crouching Tiger Concerto,” George Gao on the erhu (a traditional Chinese bowed string instrument), and the fireball of a conductor Mei-Ann Chen. After that, they will kick off an after party with a deejay, food, an art auction, and cool prizes including a $500 gift certificate to Diamonds Direct.
